Aims and Programmatic Assumptions

1. recording of the mountain landscape's beauty
2. presentation of aspirations and creative achievements in the subject matter determined
   by it's motto
3. popularization of the mountain photography by organization local and international
   exhibitions
4. collecting the most interesting of the mountains' landscape photographs

Rules for admission

1. The competition is open - everybody who takes pictures can go in for it - professional and amateurs from Poland and abroad.
   
2. Each applicant in the competition can send of maximum ten works. Many pictured sets of the same composition - it must be clearly said in one's card that it is one theme - will be considered as one work.
   
3. Pictures can be made by any technique, their format can't be less than 24 x 30 cm. To printing should be enclose view (13x18 cm lub 18x24 cm). Pictures must be neither reinforced or bound.
   
4. Each picture should have on the reverse its autor's code word and the same number which is written on one's application card (in case of a set also number of each photo for example: 1)1, 1)2, etc., year when the photo was taken and its title as well).
   
5. An envelope with an author's codeword on it should be enclosed, also a clearly and readably filled in an application card for the competition.
   An adress given on it will be taken as one to return one's works.
   
6. Works should be sent along in flat, stiff packages protecting against damage, in the same packages they will be sent back to their authors.
   
7. Each applicant has to pay 20 US$ fee for one's participation in the competition, bank account: Miejski Ośrodek Kultury w Nowym Targu: PEKAO SA o/Nowy Targ nr 12401574-803601-3600-401112-001-0000 and a copy of the receipt enclosed with one's application card.
   
8. Sent works which do not fulfil conditions determined in section marks 2-7 will be returned ti their authors without presenting them for the jury's verdict.
   
9. Organizers will be handling sent pictures very carefully however they do not take responsibility for their possible damage (or lost) while being sent.
   
10. Organizers appoint a jury which will decide about:
    - classification of works among the competition,
    - classification of pictures among exhibition,
    award prizes:
    
    Grand Prix commemorative medal     5000 zł
    Awards                                                   3500 zł
    
    
11. Awarded pictures become property of The Local Community Centre in Nowy Targ with keeping autors' rights.
    
12. Organizers reserve the right to unpaid reproduction of works for advertisment in the press and publications connected with the competition also in the post-competition exhibition catalogue.
    
13. Local Community Centre resserves the right to present the post-vompetition exhibition in Poland and in galleries abroad.
    
14. Authors of awarded works and classified for the post-competition exhibition will receive commemorative diplomas and a catalogue of the exhibition.
    
15. Sending works on to the competition is tantamount to admission of conditions of the present regulations.
    
16. Deadline for receip t o f all works is Mai 15, 2003r.
